Stuttgart striker Mario Gomez can be hopeful of claiming one of those places following two goals and an assist while defender Heiko Westermann should also make the cut after receiving praise from Low.

"I am largely satisfied," said Low following his side's last friendly before he announces his squad in May. "We have received some answers to our questions.

"For every single one of us, it was a qualification game for the European Championships.

"Heiko Westermann really pleased me, his was a very convincing display."

Miroslav Klose and Lukas Podolski scored the other two goals, leaving Low with the conundrum of who should form his first-choice attack.

Gomez appears to have stolen a march on his rivals after earning the praise of captain Michael Ballack.

"Mario made some very good moves," Ballack said. "He is very quick and, when necessary, he drops back too."

Low added: "Mario Gomez has shown how dangerous he is in front of goal."
