Arsenal star midfielder Cesc Fabregas believes it would be suicidal for his career if he were to sign for Manchester City.
With City now having the backing of Abu Dhabi United Group for Development and Investment, the club's new owner Dr Sulaiman Al-Fahim recently revealed his plans to add a number of world class players in the January transfer window.
Fabregas and Liverpool star striker Fernando Torres are reported to be among the list of targets being eyed for capture, while Al-Fahim hinted at the possibility of a GBP 135 million move for Manchester United superstar winger Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, the Arsenal midfielder has declared he has no intention of leaving the Emirates Stadium for City if a bid was made for his services, stating that such a move would have a detrimental effect on his career.
The Spain international said: "It would be suicidal for my career at 21 years of age to move to City. It would make no sense."
