Tottenham assistant manager Gus Poyet has dismissed speculation linking him with the vacant Newcastle post.
Juande Ramos's right hand man was believed to be one of a number of potential replacements for Kevin Keegan but the former Spurs midfielder says he is more than happy staying where he is.
Poyet of course worked with current Newcastle decision maker Dennis Wise during his spell at Leeds United and has regularly been linked with high profile jobs away from White Hart Lane, including of course the Manchester United assistant job.
The 40 year-old though, while understanding rumours go with the territory, says he is committed to the Spurs cause and not going anywhere.
"When you are in England and you are lucky enough to be with one of the big teams you are always going to get speculation.
"I want to stay at Spurs, I want to stay with this manager, this group of players and this club because I'm very happy."
