Newcastle interim boss Joe Kinnear will complete his two-game touchline ban when the Magpies take on Everton at Goodison Park today.
Both teams are struggling for form with the Toffees missing out on UEFA Cup qualification in midweek, while the Toon are languishing in 19th place in the Premier League and are still undecided on an owner and a manager.
Kinnear will welcome back Danny Guthrie from suspension while full-backs Jose Enrique and Habib Beye are fit again.
Jonas Gutierrez (fractured collarbone) is back at training, but the match is a week too soon for the Argentina international. Mark Viduka (Achilles) is still out, along with Alan Smith (stress fracture) and Ignacio Gonzalez (hamstring). Bad boy Joey Barton is still suspended.
Everton boss David Moyes will be without midfielder Tim Cahill who begins a three-match suspension after picking up a red card last week. Phil Neville misses out with a slight knock, but Louis Saha and Tony Hibbert are fit despite the latter suffering from cramp in midweek.
