Hull City manager Phil Brown believes his team's season could be defined by how well they do in December.
Hull are currently in sixth on the Premier League table and Brown says their season depends on how well they do in their five Premier League matches this month.
He said: "As we placed an emphasis on it last year, this is an important time of the year.
"It takes us to 20 games and we've set ourselves a target for 20 games.
"We're well on our way to the target but it would be nice to know we've got 18 games to go and know exactly what we'll need to be a Premier League team next year and know where we can finish.
"This is a platform building time before the end of the season, before the squeaky bum time comes along.
"The emphasis needs to be right. If we want to stay in the top six then we have to start winning games."
