Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate says he is confident that striker Afonso Alves will get into goal scoring form.
Alves ended last season well, but has struggled to find form since the restart.
Southgate, is keeping faith with the Brazilian international, saying: "He wants it to happen and we're desperate for it to happen for him.
"He has got to keep practicing on the training ground, get into good habits and things will happen for him."
He added: "He's desperate to do well and he's desperate to score goals, but he has to continue doing the things he did on Saturday."
Alves had a brilliant record at his previous club Heerenveen where he scored 45 goals in 39 league games, earning him a GBP 12.7 million move to Boro.
