Keegan Wants Four More Players

Newcastle will be sending a team short on depth to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday; especially after the departure of James Milner to Aston Villa.

Kevin Keegan has stated that he is hoping to sign four more players before the transfer window closes on Monday. He is already close to signing two of the four players. The manager says the other two are still regarded as possibilities and not certainties.

One of the possibilities is Young Boys of Berne defender Kamil Zayatte who trained with Newcastle on Friday.

"We have got four or five irons in the fire at the moment, two of which are pretty well down the line and three which are could bes, maybes, and he (Zayatte) is one of those could be, maybes.

"We have had him training this morning. He looks like a player who could certainly improve us.

"He plays three or four positions, and I like those sort of players," said the Magpies manager.

Meanwhile, Keegan pointed out that he himself was the man who sanctioned the Milner deal to go through. He was also adamant that the sale was not financially driven.

"The money was there to go and buy players even if we didn't sell James Milner.

"We haven't sold James Milner to finance another deal, we sold him because we - and I mean all of us - thought it was right for everybody," he said.
