Former Arsenal midfielder Edu has been linked with a move to FA Cup winners Portsmouth.

Former Arsenal midfielder Edu has been linked with a move to FA Cup winners Portsmouth.

The Valencia star is interested in a move back to the Premier League and Pompey is leading the race to sign him. Also said to be interested are Everton, Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester City and Arsenal.

The Brazilian said: "The interest of English clubs like Portsmouth and Man City is obviously flattering.

"I have amazing memories of the years I spent in England, being the first Brazilian player to win both the Premiership and the FA Cup.

"I feel good at Valencia even after a difficult season but the Premier League is arguably the biggest competition in the world."

The 30-year-old is one of many stars linked with a move away from the Mestalla, following a season in which Valencia nearly found themselves relegated from the Spanish top flight.
