As West Brom manager, Gary Megson was the man who brought Jonathan Greening to The Hawthorns in 2004.
Greening is very thankful that the current Bolton Wanderers manager brought him to West Brom four years ago. Megson paid GBP 1.25 million to buy the midfielder from Middlesbrough and Greening has developed into the Baggies skipper in the meantime.
The West Brom captain identified the move to his current club as the best decision of his career.
"I got on well with Gary Megson and it'll be nice to see him - but hopefully take three points off him," said Greening.
"He's going to wind his players up for this game and we have to be prepared for that and put a good performance in to try and win.
"When Albion approached me, Boro had just brought in Bolo Zenden and Gaizka Mendieta so I knew I'd be struggling.
"This is my fifth season here now and, as I've always said, coming here is probably my best-ever decision from a footballing point of view.
"I thank Gary for bringing me here and I want to stay here as long as I can."
However, Greening will not be holding anything back when he faces his former manager's team at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday.
