Speaking after his sides 4-0 demolishing of Notts County Steve Bruce insisted that striker Emile Heskey is going nowhere.

Speaking after his sides 4-0 demolishing of Notts County Steve Bruce insisted that striker Emile Heskey is going nowhere.

While he would hardly be considered a regular goal scorer Heskey had once again been linked with a move away from the JJB Stadium.

The well publicized striker shortage at Tottenham has seen their name mentioned as a possible destination but, with the expected arrival of Roman Pavlyuchenko at White Hart Lane, perhaps that move had been put on hold.

The former Liverpool striker partnered Amr Zaki up front for Wigan in their Carling Cup encounter on Tuesday night and, according to his manager, will not be making any moves ahead of the transfer deadline on September 1st.

"It would take a hell on an offer to let him go but I've not heard anything from anyone and I don't envisage anything happening at this late stage."
