Newcastle defender Fabricio Coloccini says he has no qualms about playing every minute of the season.

The Argentine is the only Magpies outfielder to have played every game this season without being substituted, which is something he is known for in Spain.

The 26-year-old was on the field for Deportivo La Coruna the whole of last season, becoming the first player in eight years to do so.

However, he insists there is no special reason why he has remained injury-free for so long.

"I simply try to play the best I can - and never get injured!" laughed the 26-year-old.

"I don't want to miss any football and I am very happy that I am able to play nearly all of the time."

He added: "Match by match, I know more about the English Premier League and I am very comfortable with it.

"For me it has not been a problem getting used to the English style of play after my years in Spain. It is different, certainly, but it has not been a problem.

"I am enjoying it all the way."
