Digard joined Boro from Paris Saint-Germain in a £4million move during the summer but his first-team opportunities were limited at the start of the campaign as he recovered from an injury picked up while at the French club.
The 22-year-old has, however, broken into the first team in the past month, starting each of Boro's past five games in an unbeaten run which has seen them move up to eighth in the table.
"I'm really enjoying playing at the moment," the France Under-21 international told the club's official website.
"It was difficult, after the long injury I picked up at PSG, to get back into regular football but I'm very happy with my game at the moment. I could understand I was a substitute at the beginning of the season because I had to work on my overall match fitness. But I am up to speed now and determined to take my chance in the team."
He added: "It's difficult to say where we can finish this season but if we can continue our good form then there is no reason why we cannot finish in the top eight."
