England captain John Terry has praised the performance of his younger team-mates following their 2-1 victory over Germany on Wednesday night.
A number of injuries meant Fabio Capello was required to experiment with his line-up for the clash in Berlin, where Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor made his international debut.
Terry was the deciding factor as he nodded home the late winner as Matthew Upson's first-half strike was equalised by Patrick Helmes.
The Blues defender said: "We're delighted to come here and beat a very strong German side.
"We will take that all day long. It was a friendly but we have learnt a lot, not only on the pitch, but around the camp as well.
"I said yesterday the youngsters are fearless and they showed that tonight so it is very encouraging signs for the future.
"We're playing well at the moment, not only with first-team regular but the youngsters are also pushing."
