Behrami Agent Hints At Roma Move

According to his agent Italian giants Roma are interested in signing West Ham midfielder Valon Behrami.

Behrami only joined the Hammers from Lazio this summer but his immediate impact combined with West Ham's uncertain financial future has led to interest from other clubs.

The Swiss international could be sold in order to raise funds for West Ham to pay Sheffield United compensation for the Carlos Tevez saga.

Behrami's agent Alessandro Beltrami said: "Roma have enquired after Valon.

"They have given me their word that they are keen on the lad and willing to close the deal.

"However, we are just in the early stages."

After a promising start to the Italian season Roma find themselves in 14th on the Serie A table after playing six matches.
