Everton and Bolton are believed to be leading the race for former Real Madrid striker Riki, a player being targeted by numerous Premier League clubs.

The 27-year-old is currently on Deportiva La Coruna's books and he, his agent and Deportivo chairman Augusto Cesar Lendoiro were due to hold talks this week over his future.

But the meeting was postponed and has caused the player's future to be surrounded by some uncertainty.

The player's agent, Alexander Camano, admits his client has received some interest from a number of English sides but did not go as far as to name the interested parties.

"Scouts from England have watched Riki," said Camano. "They are impressed with his qualities, by his speed and his goals. They think he will be a player who can be very useful in England."
