Roy Keane has rubbished rumors that he plans to step down as manager of Sunderland.
According to the Sporting Life website, Keane says rumors of his alleged unhappiness at the club are unfounded and he has no intention of walking away from the Stadium of Light.
Speaking after his side's 2-1 victory over Blackburn 2-1 on Saturday, Keane said he was bemused with the erroneous reports.
"Honestly I have been in football a long, long time and particularly since I have gone to Sunderland there seems to be a story every week about something.
"Where do the stories come from? I honestly haven't got a clue. It is just crazy."
"The answer is obviously no. I am very happy and obviously even happier when we win football matches.
He added: "But these stories that I am not happy or that I am resigning is just nonsense," he said.
Keane has come under increasing pressure in recent weeks due to the club's poor performance. Club chairman, Niall Quinn, insists the Irishman's job is not on the line and is confident Keane can reverse the side's fortunes.
