Reports suggest Arsenal have been keeping an eye on Newcastle striker Obafemi Martins.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been an long-time admirer of the former Inter Milan striker and it is rumoured he is still keeping tabs on the player.
It is believed the Nigerian forward has yet to sign a new deal at St James' Park, and if Kevin Keegan had to sign potential target Bafetimbi Gomis, the Magpies manager may be prepared to let Martins go.
Meanwhile, Gunners midfielder Gilberto Silva admits he is still unsure of his future at the Emirates Stadium next season.
"It has been a very complicated season, disappointing as well," Gilberto said. "People do think that I'm looking for a new challenge, but now is not the moment to speak about it.
"We have to forget about it in order to be focused on the national team.
"We are going to play, rest, and then take a decision."
