Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp is interested in signing Peter Crouch and Eidur Gudjohnsen for next season.
Redknapp would be happy to bring Barcelona striker Gudjohnsen to Fratton Park and has revealed that he is in talks with Liverpool to sign England international Crouch.
The FA Cup winning manager said: "Eidur is a good player, a proper player, and it does look like he'll be leaving Barcelona.
"If that's the case he would definitely be the type of player we are interested in.
"He is someone I know and is good friends with my son Jamie."
Of the possible Crouch deal, he added: "We're moving along and something could happen soon.
"We might feel Liverpool want a little too much, even at GBP 10 million. There might be a deal - if not we'll move on."
