Fernando Torres believes Liverpool can break their 18-year domestic league drought this season, but he admits it will be difficult.

The Spain striker accepts that in order to win the Premier League the Reds will need to play the best football in Europe.

He feels the Premier League 'big four', Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal, are currently the best clubs in European competition.

And Torres knows the Reds will need to be at their very best if they want to top the other three giants.

"I believe we can win the Premier League or the Champions League," Torres told LFC Magazine.

"Arsenal produce great football, Liverpool and Chelsea are very difficult teams to play against and Manchester United played fantastically well last year.

"All the teams have different styles but are equally effective.

"I think the four biggest teams in England are now the best in Europe.

"We have a good chance of doing well but it won't be easy to finish above any of the other three sides."
