Scotland captain Barry Ferguson admits he will consider his own international career at the end of the World Cup qualifying campaign.
The Rangers midfielder, who is recovering from ankle surgery, says he will make a decision on his Scotland future once qualification for the 2010 showpiece is finished.
Ferguson's claims come after international and domestic team-mate Kris Boyd announced he would no longer play for Scotland while manager George Burley was in charge.
"I'm going to play until the campaign ends and then I'll take it from there," Ferguson said.
"That's what I've done all along.
"It's the one thing that's missing; I've never reached a major finals for my country."
"I will play until the end and then see once this qualification comes to an end."
