Ecuador unveiled their new home and away kits for this summer’s Copa América Centenario. The new jerseys, made by Ecuadorian brand Marathon Sports, are inspired by national team jerseys from the 1970’s and 80’s and embrace the glory from the past.
The home jersey features a wide navy sash running from the left shoulder to the right hemline of the yellow shirt. Marathon logo is placed on the right chest, while the FEF crest in embroidered on the left. The yellow crew collar is adorned with blue detailing on the sides, and has a writing on the back that reads “100 years – forged in history”. The sleeves are longer than usual with the blue and red colors of the national flag creating the sleeve cuffs.
The away kit has a classy look enhanced by gold detailing on the blue base. The collar has an unique design and features the same text from the home shirt on the back. A monochromatic version of the FEF badge stands out on the left chest accompanied by Marathon logo on its right. Two diagonal lines are featured on the low zone, and the hem is golden.
The home kit is completed with navy shorts and red socks while the away is completed with white shorts and navy socks. Ecuador will face Brazil, Peru and Haiti in the Copa América Centenario Group Stage.
The Ecuador 2016 home and away jerseys will be available soon at World Soccer Shop.
