The Denmark 2016 home kit by adidas was unveiled today. The new design, with the Danish crest and three stripes on the sides, pays tribute to the classic design with a subtle two-tone red front that became famous during the 1986 FIFA World Cup, when Denmark advanced to the round of 16 but suffered a painful defeat at the hands of Spain.

The jersey is scheduled to make its on-field debut in the Euro 2016 playoff against Sweden, who also released their 2016 home jersey today, on November 14.

Matching the three stripes that run down the side of the shirt, a novelty that contrasts with the traditional shoulder location, are the white cuffs and round collar that complete this beautiful design. The back is a solid color and features the brighter shade of red.

Located in the inner and back collar is a legend that reads “En Del af Noget Større” (part of something bigger) and the Danish flag, tying in the design and proudly supporting Denmark. The uniform is completed with red shorts and socks.
