Croatia has one of the most recognizable home soccer jerseys with their red and white checker-board pattern and will continue to showcase this look in Brazil when they return to the World Cup for the 4th time in team history.
Bayern Munich and Croatia striker Mario Mandzukic was on hand at the unveiling in the nation’s capital of Zagreb.
The home jersey is inspired by the jersey worn in the country’s first friendly as independent nation. The United States traveled to Zagrab on October 17, 1990 with the home side coming away with a 2-1 win. A great start for their new team and with a cool look.
The body of the front of the jersey keeps with the classic red and white checker-board look. In the center of the jersey is a white number block placement to help with a cool customized look. The v-neck collar, short sleeves and upper portion of the back of the jersey are solid red. The sleeves include a white cuff.
The Croatia home kit is completed with white shorts and blue socks.
The away kit is completed with blue shorts with the same red and white checker-board panel down the side seams and blue socks.
