San Lorenzo hit man Gonzalo Bergessio has stated that the team should feel no need to go into "protect mode" when carrying a 2-1 Copa Libertadores quarterfinal edge to River Plate on Thursday night.

"We have to play in the manner in which we have been recently," he asserted to Ole. "We go to every stadium to win and we come into the game on an excellent run of form - that gives us confidence."
