Still winless on the young season, San Lorenzo coach Ramon Diaz will now have to make do without playmaker D'Alessandro for a few weeks.

The Argentina international suffered a small thigh muscle tear midway through the first half of their weekend loss to River Plate

"At that moment, it was not much, but immediately I realized that it would get worse," D'Alessandro told Ole. "There was no chance of continuing."

Despite some grumbles that he begged off against his former club, the midfielder insists he is cheering for the right team.

"I just want to recover and for the team to start winning," he stated. "Hopefully, they will against Estudiantes because a victory changes the spirit of the club and of the supporters, who with reason will request results."
