In the aftermath of a decisive 5-0 win over San Martin that alowed them to finish at the top of their Copa Libertadores group, River Plate boss Diego Simeone voiced his approval for the effort.

The coach was certainly pleased with the victory, keyed by Sebastian Abreu's hat trick, but reminded his Millionairos that tougher games lie ahead.

"We are very pleased with ourselves because of the way we played and because we knew of the importance of the match," Simeone told reporters. "We played really well, with a lot of force, and luckily we were able to convert that into goals in the first half."

"We go through in excellent form, but tougher tests now await us."
