Trinidad & Tobago match winner Dwight Yorke says the team's historic victory over the U.S. National Team was a vital step in establishing themselves as among the cream of the CONCACAF crop.
Though the Sunderland man was busy talking about scoring their first ever competitive win over the Americans before the 2-1 success, afterwards he was most pleased that they were able to spring into sole possession of second place with the points.
"It's enormous for us," Yorke told reporters. "Everyone knows how important it was for us."
"We left it a little late," he added. "It's very important for this national to progress into the big six."
