The days are becoming shorter, and the games are coming thick and fast for teams throughout Europe. As per usual, this week we were treated to some great boot spots. Here are the best of the lot.

Charlie Austin – Nike Mercurial Vapor I
Charlie Austin provided us with the stand out spot of the week as the QPR man turned up in his side’s match wearing the Nike Mercurial Vapor I. Released back in 2002, the Vapor I are seriously old school change from the Vapor X that he normally wears.

Cafu – adidas f50 adiZero Yamamoto
Cafu was one of a few legends on show during this week’s Global Legends Series in Bangkok. The Brazil legend treated us with a great boot spot, as wore the limited edition f50 adiZero Yamamoto. So far we have only spotted Real Madrid players wearing the out of the ordinary colorway, but connections are aplenty when you are Cafu.

Alexandre Song – Puma King Top 1982
Charlie Austin was not the only Premier League player sporting an old school pair of boots. West Ham man Alex Song was spotted in the Puma King Top 1982 during his side’s win against Swansea. A true classic of a boot.

Danielle de Rossi – adidas adiPure 11Pro
After adidas released the brilliant brand new adiPure 11Pro a couple of weeks back, it became apparent that the brand really did not have that many players wearing the boot. Now it looks as if adidas have shifted Danielle de Rossi away from the NitroCharge 1.0 and into the new adiPure as the Roma man was spotted in the boot this weekend.

Andy Carroll – Nike Hypervenom Phantom
Big Andy Carroll was one of a whole bunch of players debuting the new Nike “Shine Through” pack. The former Umbro man was wearing the Hypervenom Phantom colorway, featuring a bright red/blue lagoon color scheme. All of the boots feature a white base and are said to be inspired by the energy, atmosphere, and visuals that accompany New Year’s Eve celebrations in Brazil.

Wilfried Bony – Nike Mercurial Vapor
While lots of Nike players switched into the new Shine Through pack, Wilfried Bony actually switched into a blacked out Mercurial Vapor. Bony had been wearing a colored Vapor up until last weekend, with this sudden switch indicating that his contract with Nike may have run out. Interestingly enough, he is wearing a blacked out version of the new Shine Through colorway.

Scott McDonald – adidas adiPure 11Pro & adidas Predator Instinct Accelerator
Finally this week, Scott McDonald provided us with two great boot spots from the same match. Initially the Millwall player was wearing the alternative adidas 11Pro colorway that we have not seen much of at all so far. In the second half however, he came out in the equally great adidas Predator Instinct Accelerator. Released as part of the brilliant Revenge Pack, it was one of our favorite colorways released by adidas since the World Cup.
