A packed week of football brought with it some great boot spots. Here are the best of the lot.

David de Gea – Puma evoSPEED
David De Gea put in a man-of-the-match performance against Everton, saving a penalty and making some incredible saves. De Gea was also playing his first match in Puma gear, wearing both the evoSPEED and a pair of the brand’s gloves. Prior to joining up with Puma, De Gea had been a Nike man, making the switch all the more considering that Nike also sponsor Manchester United.

Karim Benzema – adidas f50 adiZero Yamamoto
Karim Benzema was one of two players who was spotted in the limited edition adiZero Yamamoto. Benzema first wore the colorway in midweek as Real also donned their Yamamoto designed third kit. The release of this limited edition colorway marked the second collaboration between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto as the Japanese designer had previously designed a collection of f50 Tunit boots.

Danny Welbeck – Nike Hypervenom Phantom
Danny Welbeck joined a list including Nicholas Bendtner and Thierry Henry as he became the third Arsenal player ever to have scored a hattrick in the Champions League. While Welbeck did flirt with the adiZero for a little bit in 2012, he has since become a pretty big Nike man and was wearing the recently released Fall ‘14 Hypervenom Phantom.

Carlos Tevez – Nike Magista Obra
Carlos Tevez looks to have ended his relationship with Nike. The Juventus front-man was spotted in a blacked out pair of the Nike Magista Obra this weekend despite having worn the Fall ‘14 Tiempo Legend in the Champions League. Tevez is the second big player in as many weeks who looks to have become out of contract after we spotted Robin van Persie in a blacked out adiZero last week.

Yaya Toure – Puma evoPOWER
While Yaya Toure was in the Puma evoPOWER this week, we suspect the Ivorian may be switching boots relatively soon. With Puma having just released its new Puma King, we imagine that Toure will be one of the big names set to wear the boot. Toure used to wear the King but was switched into the evoPOWER as Puma shifted its focus away from the classic boot.

Sam Ricketts – adidas Predator Instinct
Sam Ricketts popped up with a crazy custom adidas Predator Instinct this week. Ricketts has stuck with the tribal pattern that adidas have been pushing for the Predator line but has opted for a suitably orange base colour. Great colour co-ordination with the Wolves kit by its captain.

Andre-Pierre Gignac – adidas Predator LZ
Andre-Pierre Gignac scored a dramatic last minute winner to maintain Marseille’s position at the top of Ligue 1. Gignac was in one of the many adidas Predator LZ II colourways that adidas released as build up to last summer’s World Cup.

Yann M’Vila – Pantofolo d’Oro
Pantofolo d’Oro produce some of the classiest football boots you will find anywhere so it is always big news when a professional player pops up in a pair. Yann M’Vila has shunned the big name brands and has gone Italian as he switched into a white, no-nonsense pair of the Corner Vitello.
