Another cracking week of football provided its fair share of boot spots. Here are the best of the lot.
Luis Suarez – adidas f50 adiZero Supernatural
The big release of last week was the Halloween-inspired adidas Supernatural pack. Luis Suarez was one of the many players who gave the adiZero Supernatural its debut over the weekend, wearing it during Barcelona’s shock loss to Celta Vigo.
Oscar – adidas Predator Instinct Supernatural
The other ‘Supernatural’ boot released was the Predator Instinct. While the boot was being worn left, right and centre, it was Oscar in particular who caught our eye. The Brasilian scored an incredible goal for Chelsea wearing his brand new boots, proving exactly why he is one of adidas’ main men.
Gael Clichy – Puma evoSpeed
Overshadowed somewhat by the release of the Supernatural pack was Puma’s unveiling of a new EvoSpeed colorway. While not all of the players who wear the evoSpeed switched into the black/white/pool green colorway, one man that did was Gael Clichy. Another good looking colorway from Puma, following the release of a new evoPower the week before.
Emile Sinclair – Nike Magista
For the third week running we have caught sight of a great custom Nike Magista Obra. This time it is Northampton Town striker Emile Sinclair who showed up wearing a red and white NikeID creation. As with Bakary Sako last week and Paul Pogba the week before, Sinclair’s boots go perfectly with his kit. Top marks.
Aaron Ramsey – Unknown
The rumor mill is in full swing in regards to Aaron Ramsey’s white-out boots. The Welshman has been wearing a mysterious, unidentified pair of boots for around about a month now, and it is no clearer which brand they belong to. All sorts of things have been suggested, including the possibility that Ramsey might be about to join up with a rebranded Warrior Sports. Regardless, the boots themselves look very interesting and we can’t wait to see their full reveal.
Danny Hylton – adidas f50 adiZero
We haven’t seen this colorway in a while. Danny Hylton was spotted wearing the adidas f50 adiZero Messi that was released back in June of last year. Launched as only the second boot in Leo’s, then new, signature series, it was what he wore at the beginning of the 2013/14 season.
Marco Reus – Puma evoPower
As was mentioned above, Puma released a new evoPower colorway two weeks ago, stating that all of its wearers would be switching into the boot. One man who has yet to do that is Marco Reus, one of Puma’s biggest players. Reus has stuck with the evoPower colorway released after the World Cup, which, in fairness to him, goes well with the Dortmund kit.
Pione Sisto – Nike Mercurial Vapor IX Reflective
Finally, Pione Sisto was spotted in one of the coolest colorways released last year. The Nike Mercurial Vapor IX Reflective was released alongside four other ‘reflective’ colorways in the build up to this summer’s World Cup. The entire boot itself is not reflective, with the leopard print towards the heel the only part that glistens under light. Nonetheless a great looking colorway, and one that we wish we saw more of.
