The season is well and truly in full swing. Here are the best boot spots from an action packed week of football.

Robin van Persie – adidas F50 adizero
RVP
The biggest boot spot of this week came courtesy of Robin van Persie. The Dutchman is known for his unconventional boot selection and this week was spotted in a blacked out version of his customized leather F50 adizeros. In training before the game van Persie had been wearing his usual “Earth Pack” F50 adizero, making this change all the more perplexing because of its suddenness. Could RVP be on his way to another brand? Watch this space.

Graziano Pelle – Nike Mercurial Superfly

Graziano Pelle scored an out of this world goal on Saturday to maintain Southampton’s equally incredible start to the season. The former Feyernoord man was wearing the Nike Mercurial Superfly colorway that was released a couple of weeks ago as part of Nike’s Fall ’14 collection.

Fernando Forestieri – adidas Predator Instinct Accelerator

Watford’s Fernando Forestieri was spotted wearing the beautiful adidas Predator Accelerator during his side’s mid-week game. This remake of the Accelerator, which was made famous in the ’98 World Cup, was released back in August as part of adidas’ Revenge Pack. With only 1,825 pairs sold globally, the fact that Forestieri managed to get his hands on a pair suggests that he is a real fan.

Yaya Toure – Puma evoPower Next Gen
Yaya
When we spotted Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic training in the next generation Puma evoPower we predicted that other players would soon follow suit. Yaya Toure has done exactly that, as the Manchester City star was spotted training in the same blacked out boot that we saw at Chelsea’s training ground.

Sebastian Blanco – adidas Predator LZ
Blanco
West Brom’s summer signing Sebastian Blanco was spotted in this multi-coloured adidas Predator LZ earlier this week. The Running White/Metallic Silver/Solar Slime colorway was part of adidas push with the silo to increase the color and visibility of the cleat.

Edin Dzeko – adidas F50 adizero
dzeko
After rocking out in Messi’s exclusive Battle Pack F50 adizero during pre-season, Edin Dzeko has reverted back to his old “Solar Blue” pair. A little tear shows that the boots are a little bit worse for wear, but as Dzeko is particular about his footwear we do not see him changing out of them anytime soon (especially considering the form he is in).

Jeremy Toulalan – adidas Copa Mundial
toulalan
Adding to the ‘old man’ look his grey hair gives him, Jeremy Toulalan has adopted the adidas Copa Mundial’s for this season. A true classic, the Copa is worn by very few top professional footballers as most opt for the flashier, technology packed boots of today and as such it is always good to see it on the pitch.

Luis Suarez – adidas F50 adizero
Suarez
One Luis Suarez made his sort of debut for Barcelona last week, turning out for the B team in a glamorous friendly against an Indonesia U-19 side. Playing alongside fellow Premier League transfer Thomas Vermaelen, Suarez scored twice in a match that was more in the name of fitness than anything else. As expected the former Liverpool man was in the Neo Pink adiZero F50 colorway.
