A week full of big cleat releases resulted in a whole host of boot spots. Here are the best of the lot.

Cristiano Ronaldo – Nike Mercurial Superfly
Cristiano Ronaldo gave his latest signature Mercurial colorway a brilliant debut, as Real Madrid beat Barcelona in this season’s first El Clasico. CR7’s latest bespoke colorway is a sleek all, black, boot with a difference. It has a shimmer design, meaning it sparkles under lights, giving the boots a suitably out of this world feel.

Philipp Lahm – adidas adiPure 11Pro Crazylight
Adidas released its latest batch of Crazylight boots last week, with all of them receiving their debuts during the mid-week Champions League fixtures. While we highlighted the Predator Instinct Crazylight and the adiZero Crazylight in our special mid-week boot spotting, the other two Crazylight’s were also on show elsewhere. Bayern’s Philipp Lahm was the only man who wore the aggresively colored 11Pro Crazylight, but as with all the other players who wore Crazylights during mid-week, switched out of them during the weekend.

Koke – adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 Crazylight
In Madrid, Koke was debuting the adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 Crazylight, as his side thumped Malmo 5-0. The Nitrocharge Crazylight is the first of its kind, and features an aquatic-inspired design, with an all seeing eye one one side of the boot.

Adnan Januzaj – Warrior Sports Superheat
Adnan Januzaj was in action for Manchester United during Sunday’s match against Chelsea and was curiously wearing a white-out Warrior Sports Superheat. Januzaj has joined a growing list of players to have left a major brand in the past couple of weeks, with other notable names including Aaron Ramsey and Carlos Tevez.

James Rodriguez – adidas f50 adiZero Yamamoto
After giving the f50 adiZero Crazylight their debut in the Champion’s League, James Rodriguez ditched the brand-new boots for el Clasico opting instead for the adiZero Yamamoto. James was part of a larger trend of Crazylight players ditching the boots over the weekend, indicating their stature as a limited edition release.

Cesc Fabregas – Puma evoSpeed 1.0
As promised by Puma, Cesc Fabregas was the sole player in the brand new evoSpeed 1.0 colorway that was released last week. Officially dubbed as pool green, white and grenadine, expect to see all of the other players who wear the evoPower switch into this colorway this week.

Dani Alves – Nike Mercurial Vapor
Capping off what was an El Clasico full of great boot spots, Dani Alves was in a mysterious-looking pair of the Nike Mercurial Vapor. Alves has, for a while, worn blacked out boots but may be set with Nike. That being said, the tape over the swoosh on one boot indicates that the deal may not be completely sealed.

Bakary Sako – Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly
We’ve saved the best for last this week, and it came from an unlikely source. Wolves’ Bakary Sako popped up in this brilliant looking gold Superfly colorway. Much like Paul Pogba’s custom-job last week, Sako’s Superfly goes perfectly with his side’s home kit.
