This week’s action was packed full of boot spots. Here are the best of the lot.
Aaron Ramsey – Nike Tiempo Legend IV
Ramsey’s move away from adidas was the biggest boot spot of the lot. The Welshman showed up wearing a swoosh-less version of the Nike Tiempo Legend IV against Hull, raising questions about which brand he will join next. Nike seems to be the obvious choice but the lack of a swoosh may suggest otherwise.
James Rodriguez – adidas f50 adiZero Crazylight
James Rodriguez gave the, now released, adidas f50 adiZero a premature debut over the weekend. While adidas’ lightest ever boot was given a re-release alongside three other ‘crazylight’ boots, we believe that it will be the only one worn by prominent professionals.
Edison Cavani – adidas f50 adiZero
Another high-profile player who seems to have left adidas is Edison Cavani. The PSG forward was spotted in a blacked out pair of the adiZero combined with some particularly colourful laces. We’ll definitely be keeping our eyes on him to see which brand he ends up joining.
Paul Pogba – Nike Magista Obra
One player who has yet to sign a deal with any big brand is Paul Pogba. Pogba caught our eyes again this week with his great NikeID Magista Obra. Hats off to him for creating a colourway that goes perfectly with the Juventus kit.
Sergio Aguero – Puma evoSpeed
Aguero tore up Tottenham, scoring four goals and becoming City’s top scorer in Premier League history. Aguero has been one of Puma’s biggest players for the last couple of years and was wearing the brand’s speed boot, the evoSpeed.
Lucas Ocampos – adidas f50 adiZero Yamamoto
Lucas Ocampos was spotted in the brilliant adidas f50 adiZero Yamamoto. The release of this limited edition colorway marked the second collaboration between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto as the Japanese designer had previously designed a collection of f50 Tunit boots.
