Liga MX final, FIFA Club World Cup, Champions League and European drama. Let’s take a look on the cleats we spotted in action during this past week.
André-Pierre Gignac (Tigres) – adidas X 15
— CLUB TIGRES OFICIAL (@TigresOficial) December 14, 2015
Tigres were crowned as Liga MX champions after beating Pumas in a exciting game that had to be decided in pnealty kicks. André-Pierre Gignac arrived to the club earlier this year, and many questioned his choice to leave France and play for a Mexican club. However, he was right, he is one of Tigres most important players and was vital for their title, scoring an authentic golazo during the extra time. He was also called by France for their latest international friendlies, and the Euro 2016 is a real possibility for him.
Paulinho (Guangzhou Evergrande) – Nike Magista Opus
— Dunya News (@DunyaNews) December 13, 2015
Club América was considered by many as favorites to challenge Barcelona for the 2015 Club World Cup title, but their dream was not to be, as chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande beat them with a last minute goal by Paulinho. It is not surprising at all, Guangzhou has not been defeated in 28 games, quite the mark for the club under Luiz Felipe Scolari.
Olivier Giroud (Arsenal) – Puma evoPOWER 1.2
— Arsenal FC (@Arsenal) December 14, 2015
Olivier Giroud has had one of his best weeks of his time as Arsenal player, scoring a hat-trick in the UEFA Champions League that meant their qualification to the round of 16, and then when on to net again during the weekend to reach 50 goals in the Premier League since his arrival in 2012. He has scored 9 goals so far this EPL season, and is aiming to better his 16 goals mark from two years ago.

— Squawka Football (@Squawka) December 12, 2015
Manchester United will surely want to erase this week from their memories. Not only they got knocked-out from the UEFA Champions League, but also lost in the Premier League to Bournemouth, on of the three teams that just got promoted this year. The even conceded an olympic goal within the first two minutes of the game, but Marouane Fellaini put things at level before the half time. Fellaini had a good overall performance, but United couldn’t hold the draw and lost in the end.
Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona) – adidas Messi 15
— DIRECTV Sports (@DIRECTVSports) December 14, 2015
It seems as if Lionel Messi wasn’t injured for almost two months, he returned in full form and has been leading Barcelona’s attack during the last games, and scored a perfectly curled free kick in Barcelona’s draw with Deportivo La Coruña. We’ll have to wait and see if his excellent form has an impat in the FIFA World Cup.
