Cardiff loan signing Eddie Johnson has declared himself ready, willing and able to repay the supporters for showing him a most hearty welcome at Ninian Park.
The Fulham striker arrived, who before the deadline and has already made his debut for the Bluebirds, is eager to start filling nets for the Bluebirds.
"Before I signed, I went to their home game and the crowd gave me a standing ovation," Johnson told the USMNT Blog. "That really showed me how happy they are to have me there and what kind of belief they have in me as a player."
"I want to go and work hard to be successful for a club like that."
The U.S. international, currently preparing for CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers against Cuba and Trinidad & Tobago, believes this loan spell is just the tonic to get himself back on top form.
"It was a good opportunity for me considering my playing time for Fulham has been really limited," said Johnson. "I'm 24 and need to be playing games week in and week out."
