Reading keeper Marcus Hahnemann has applauded his teammates for fighting through a Tuesday night struggle with Doncaster to notch a 2-1 home victory.
The Royals are now perfect through six home games and remain third in the Championship after grabbing a late Kevin Doyle winner.
"Even when we got promoted with 106 points a couple of years ago, there were plenty of games where we had to sneak tight victories, and that's what we did tonight," Hahnemann told the club website. "We were so disappointed to lose at Preston (last weekend) and this was a huge game for us to bounce back."
"When Doncaster equalized we were able to step it up and score again, and maybe you can ask why we didn't play like that the whole game!"
