Cardiff loan striker Eddie Johnson has admitted that he now habitually pays close attention to the goings on at former club Kansas City, and says the current edition is quite capable of rescuing a thus far disappointing season.

Cardiff loan striker Eddie Johnson has admitted that he now habitually pays close attention to the goings on at former club Kansas City, and says the current edition is quite capable of rescuing a thus far disappointing season.

The American Abroad, on loan this season from Fulham, also played with FC Dallas back home, but it's clear where his MLS loyalties rest.

"I'm always on MLSnet and checking on (the Wizards) week in and week out," Johnson told the Kansas City Star. "I look at their roster and there's a lot of talent."

"I know Curt Onalfo is a coach who gives everyone a fair chance - he's a guy who you want to bust your balls for."

"Hopefully, they can turn it around," he added. "I know they have players on their squad who can do it - that's still my team in MLS."
