Burnley assistant manager Sandy Stewart remains confident that new signings will arrive at Turf Moor during the coming weeks.
The Clarets have so far failed to bring in any new faces during the close-season but Stewart says that will soon change.
Stewart said: "Just because we haven't signed anybody yet doesn't mean we are not trying. We are trying our absolute hardest to being the players we want to Burnley Football Club.
"We'll get the players that we want to bring in and that's why it takes time. If we were going for players that nobody else wanted, it would not be a problem, but those players are not going to help the team.
"Anything can happen at any time. We can wait weeks and weeks for something to happen, and yet just one phone call can change all that. That's football."
