Arsene Wenger expressed his delight at Cesc Fabregas' return from injury, as the Arsenal manager feels the midfielder adds authority to his squad.
A hamstring injury saw Fabregas miss out on the first few weeks of the season, but the Spaniard proved his fitness as he played 70 minutes of the 4-0 victory over Dutch side Twente in their Champions League qualifier on Wednesday.
Fabregas now looks likely to feature for the Gunners against Newcastle in their Premier League match on Saturday.
Wenger feels his return comes at a perfect time, saying: "He brings calm and confidence to the side and overall we had a good balance in the side.
"Cesc could have stayed on, he always wants to play, but he was probably more disappointed that they did not have a go at us."
