Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo admits he has been left frustrated by UEFA's decision to have the club's Champions League home fixture against PSV Eindhoven next week played behind closed doors.
The Rojiblancos chief did however concede the club would have to accept the decision announced by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Atletico had appealed to the CAS against the punishment handed out by UEFA for crowd trouble during their recent European clash against Marseille on October 1.
However, the CAS only partially upheld the appeal, meaning that while the club's fine has been cut in half to 75, 000 euros and their suspended stadium ban lifted, the Spanish outfit will be forced to play the match against PSV without any supporters in attendance.
"I'm disappointed because we hoped to succeed with our case and clear ourselves of these accusations, but this decision leaves us in no doubt about the situation now," said Cerezo, who revealed he did not expect the ruling.
"It's difficult because when you have done nothing you don't have to fear anything bad. Now there is nowhere and no one left to turn to."
