Liverpool full-back, Alvaro Arbeloa, denies any knowledge of Atletico Madrid's reported interested in signing him.

The former Real Madrid and Deportivo La Coruna defender says he still has one more year left on his contract and feels talk of a possible move, is premature at this stage.

"No. I have a contract with Liverpool for one more year. We've not spoken about renewing it, not knowing if (Liverpool boss, Rafa) Benitez will continue...It seems to me a little soon to talk about this," he said on the Sporting Life website.

The Spain international added that La Liga's big-guns can forget about signing, team mate and skipper, Steven Gerrard, insisting the inspirational midfielder is happy where he is.

"A while ago there was some talk of Madrid wanting Gerrard; they can forget that, he will never move from here in his life," he said in a Spanish newspaper.
