Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna is expected to be sidelined until December with an ankle injury.
The 25-year-old left the Emirates Stadium on a stretcher during Arsenal's 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday and manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed he will be out for a couple of weeks.
"Yes, it is serious," said Wenger on the club's official website. "He will be out for a few weeks, he has an injured ankle."
Sagna will be absent for France's friendly against Uruguay in Paris on Wednesday and is also likely to miss the Gunners' away games at Manchester City and Chelsea.
The France international may also miss Arsenal's Carling Cup quarter-final encounter with Burnley on 2 December.
