Camouflage is used by animals and militaries to hide in plain sight allowing them to be the most lethal when necessary. Nike has adopted this approach with the release of the Camo Pack giving players another attacking option when on the field.
The bold designs are very unique and targeted for the optimal conditions when used properly. But what camouflage will players be pulling on with each silo?
Nike pulls out the familiar woodland/jungle camouflage for their Magista Obra and Mercurial Superfly silos, respectively. The woodland pattern (Medium Olive/Dark Army/Dark Cinder/Black) uses matte greens, browns, and blacks with more subtle rounded shapes. The black dynamic fit collar compliments the look perfectly while the Nike Swoosh is almost hidden within the patter on the cleat.
The Jungle pattern (Alligator/Mahogany/Dark Army/Black) has a somewhat bolder color scheme with some brighter greens and dark purples and features more of a paint splash application. The manner that the Nike swoosh stands out on the jungle camo of the Mercurial highlights the subtle difference between these 2 camouflages.
Nike’s Hypervenom takes on a desert camo style (Elm/Light British Tan/White/Black). The desert camo is beige with varying shades of brown providing the cover. The distinctive black zig-zag design and Nike Swoosh work well with the overall camouflage pattern.
The Tiempo, much like the silo, is much more classic looking. The camo is kept to the heel and soleplate while the rest of the upper is black. The camo, however, is a bolder woodland pattern (Black/Pine Green/Black) with a bolder green and more distinction between the complimentary browns and blacks.
The Nike Camo Pack is available at World Soccer Shop.
