The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, one of Africa’s most accomplished national teams, has a new home jersey from PUMA as the AFCON 2017 qualifiers heat up. Cameroon are poised to claim AFCON title number five with the current crop of young players wearing a solid new jersey from long-standing technical supplier PUMA. They debuted the fresh look in Monday night’s friendly 3-2 loss to EURO 2016 host France.
This new look for Cameroon jersey-wise is green with yellow details. The shirt is topped with a yellow crew-cut collar. The jersey, save for the yellow PUMA cats in the center of the chest and shoulders, FECAFOOT crest on the right chest and yellow Indomitable Lion emblem on the left side, is a solid green. Upon closer inspection, we can see PUMA’s new evoKNIT technology, constructed for additional comfort and cooling. Knitted mesh patterns can be seen on the shoulders, sleeves, and as thin horizontal stripes on the body, in a a tonal lighter shade.
The whole kit also has red shorts with yellow, green and red details, and yellow socks with red design stripes and green PUMA cats, updating the traditional green-red-yellow look for Cameroon.
The 2016-17 PUMA Cameroon home jersey will be available soon at World Soccer Shop.
