Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are bracing for a deep run in the UEFA Champions League. To mark the occasion, BVB unveiled a home jersey for international play. Dortmund and technical suppliers PUMA have produced the latest jersey clad in yellow and black for a global audience. Labeled “the jersey of dreams,” BVB 09 will have some fanciful fixtures ahead in Group F with Legia Warsaw of Poland, Portugal’s Sporting, and defending European champions Real Madrid.
A contrast from the club’s striped home jersey, this look, also primarily in yellow, has two matching black panels on the shoulders at the front and back of the shirt. The panels have striped details within that gives a bit of pop to the jersey. The collar is a unique split crewneck variety, in black and yellow. The sleeves have matching thin cuffs. The hemline at the very bottom is black, and wraps around the shirt.
The back of the jersey is more personable, with a BVB label under the collar, and a Dortmund wordmark below where the player name and numbers will be placed. Evonik returns as shirt sponsor.
