Borussia Dortmund and Puma have taken the veil from the new 2016/17 BVB home jersey, set to debut this same weekend in their last 15/16 Bundesliga fixture against Köln. It is a bold look, designed to make an statement on the field and showcase the club’s unique identity.
The shirt itself is mostly yellow, featuring some vertical stripes on the front, each of them interrupted to make space for the colorful Evonik logo and sporting a thin yellow line on the center. The club’s badge is placed on the chest, joined by two golden stars and the Puma logo. This eye-catching look is a representation of Dortmund’s youthful energy and philosophy.
The crew neck collar creates a classy look, and is connected to the sleeves through black Puma formstrips that reach the cuffs. The jersey back is clean yellow, featuring the club’s initials on the top and “Dortmund” on the lower part. Uniform is complete with black shorts and hooped socks. A black GK kit has also been revealed, with some bright colors on the sleeves to create contrast.
The Borussia Dortmund 2016/17 home jersey will be available starting Saturday, May 14 at World Soccer Shop!
