Boca Juniors and Nike have unveiled the new home and away jerseys for the forthcoming season. The new collection for one of South America’s most successful and popular clubs carries a mixture of style, heritage and technology that is sure to make these jerseys fan favorites.

The new home jersey is dark blue and gold, colors first adopted by the club in recognition of the Swedish ships that sailed into the port of La Boca in the early 19th Century, a story that is expressed through some of the shirt’s details.

The shirt is dark blue, with a golden band running around the center, with a collar containing two buttons that feature an anchor and C.A.B.J., the club’s acronym. Inside the back of the neck is a golden triangle featuring a blue anchor and the date 1905, the year Boca were formed.

The BBVA logo is in blue within the golden stripe, the Nike logo is golden and the Boca crest is yellow and blue, with a star for each domestic title the club has won. For the first time ever, Citroën makes an appearance as the club’s secondary sponsor on the sleeves, replacing Total.

The new away jersey is white with the same golden stripe running around the center, this time with blue trim on either side, similar to the first ever away kit designed by Nike for the club, back in 1997. The rounded collar and sleeves also feature blue trim, with a narrower golden stripe on the inside.

The BBVA logo is blue inside the gold band, the Nike logo is blue and the Boca badge blue and gold. The inside back of the neck has the same tab as the home jersey, continuing the maritime theme.
