Boca Juniors, one of the most prominent South American clubs, revealed their 2016/17 home and away uniforms by Nike. They will debut their new strip on July 7th when they face Independiente del Valle in Copa Libertadores action.
The home jersey is a fresh take on their widely known blue and gold look. The horizontal stripe’s width has been slightly reduced and elevated on the chest. And for the first time in club history, the BBVA logo will be placed outside the iconic stripe appearing in white just below it.
The horizontal stripe wraps around the back of the jersey with the BBVA Frances logo appearing above the stripe. The Huawei logos appear on each sleeve.
The Boca Juniors club badge, with a star for each Argentinian League title, is sewn over the heart and the Nike Swoosh is in yellow over the right chest.
The away shirt carries on with a similar motif, changing the collar cut and adding an extra dark blue stripe below the yellow one to create an eye catching look on the jersey’s white body. BBVA, BBVA Frances and Huawei logos switch to blue for greater contrast, same as the lateral dynamic stripes and neck detailing.
