Since losing to Real Madrid in the 2013/14 UEFA Champions League final, Atletico Madrid has hoped to get the opportunity to exact some revenge on their city rivals and their chance has come with Real and Atletico meeting in this year’s UEFA Champions League final in Milan on Saturday.

“It was a cruel defeat, but we hoped to get another chance, and we have done that,” Atletico captain Gabi said on ESPN FC. “What this team has achieved is very difficult, to reach two Champions League finals. With fortune and hard work we are here again.”
