Arsenal FC of the Premier League unveiled their 2015/16 home kit in bold fashion with 1,000’s of fans on hand in North London to get a first glimpse of the new jersey on Monday night.
Arsenal’s first team players Santi Cazorla, Héctor Bellerín, Tomáš Rosický, Nacho Monreal and Danny Welbeck modeled the new look and answered questions about the modern jersey with a ‘traditional silhouette.’
The back-to-back FA Cup winners revealed their new kit, dubbed as “Powered by fans” at a live event hosted by the club’s all-time leading goalscorer, the legendary Thierry Henry outside the Emirates Stadium. Passionate Gunners supporters of all ages sang chants to count down to the big reveal from PUMA, Arsenal’s kit sponsor.
The new home kit has the classic red body with white collar, shoulders, and sleeves. The grandad collar has gold piping trim on the edge of the collar. The white sleeves, a trademark of Arsenal’s home kits, features two red thin stripes with a red PUMA Powercat in between them on the shoulders. The ends of the sleeves have a thin gold stripe.
The jersey is a bright red with faint horizontal stripes. The PUMA logo is white on the chest, across from the club’s badge. The underarms are white, connecting with the sleeves. The back of the shirt has an alternate logo at the top, under the collar. The bottom has a rounded white bib.
The shorts and socks are both white with red details. The shorts have thin red stripes on the outside, with thicker red stripes on the inner thigh. The socks have a gold stripe at the top, with two red stripes and a PUMA logo at the middle.
